Hi every one, in this opportunity the topic is one of my favorite: Books and Movies.
Since I can remember, I always like to read a great book, and a good movie is an excellent company when I have free time. One of my favorite movies is in effect a production based in a book: Rebecca. The movie (that has the same name of the book) was made in 1940, and was directed for Alfred Hitchcock. The geniality of this director was reflected in all the scenes, the story line was captured and the esthetic in the details of the scenography, clothes and custom show us that the finally effect of all the movie was made for this little details, and this details maybe wasn't appear in the book, because was left for the imagination of the reader. So, in this case the change of some ideas or scenes (that don't affect the story line) was important for the finally result: A master piece.
I personal prefer read the books before see the movies, because in almost every book-based movies some scenes (that I think that are important for the story line) was removed or changed and the story is completely different and the audience miss this and they go away with an idea about the story that is not correct.
So, in general the opinion of the audience about this book-based movies depends of the adaptation of the story line and how the director in the production process use this material to get a great movie, and in some cases the movies are made just for make money and lost the wonderful essence that makes it in first place in a great story.
