From the school
to the cyberspace
Hi, today
I'm going to write about school bullying.
In the actuality
we are so used to hear about this, but not always we pay attention to little
details until is too late. In some cases the bullying is not necessarily physical,
now the kids spend the time in websites almost the half of the day, and the
"social life" is through of internet. In the most of the times, the
"online bullying" or “cyber bullying” seems a joke... but this are
just the beginning because within days
something that may seem harmless can be transformed into a proof of life for
many children and adolescents, which in the worst cases can undermine
themselves. Families and schools have shown much interest in recent years to
reverse this situation, but this is not easy. Some schools have implemented
programs to prevent bullying, but families and teachers realize that this is
hard to contain, because violence (physical, psychological, social, etc.) is
everywhere, and that is because we live day by day in a violent society, and
this is what we are giving to our children.
I'm giving you a link that may be useful, is a
presentation that was used in the anti-bullying week in America: http://teachers.theguardian.com/teacher-resources/14220/?CMP=edi_44
and the next
21st November will be release a focus for teachers to discuss how
schools can beat bullying (panel to be announced in:http://www.theguardian.com/teacher-network/teacher-blog/2013/nov/15/cyberbullying-schools-advice-bullying)
